From Pokhara, we traveled East of Annapurna to near Manaslu to trek to the remote and seldom-visted Tsum Valley. Our guide had grown up there, but also spoke good English, so we had a fabulous culture trek, and got some incredible mountain views as well.  Tsum is very Bhuddist and is close to the Chinese (Tibet) border, so it’s culture has been little influenced by modern Nepal, but it’s just starting to change.
